Electricity Consumption, Demographics and Socioeconomics

Energy use and outage events from 22 power grids in Delhi were recorded from March 28, 2011 to March 25, 2012 (364 days).
Energy data was allocated to Delhi's 27 sub-districts using area-based weights, and combined with socioeconomic data from the 2011 Delhi Census.
Energy data notes:
Annual electricity consumption is measured in KWh per person.
A complete energy outage is a period in which recorded power consumption was zero.
A partial energy outage is a period in which recorded power consumption was 1.5 standard deviations below the mean power consumption for a particular timeslot, week day, and season.
The duration of an energy outage is the number of consecutive minutes during which the outage occured.
The frequency of energy outages is the number of non-consecutive outage events.
Census data notes:
Households with no appliances includes households that had none of the following assets/appliances: radio, TV, computer, telephone, bicycle, motorcycle, car.
Scheduled Castes are historically disadvantaged castes, races, or tribes specified by the Indian government.
Non-workers are those who did not work at all during the reference period. This includes students who did not enage in any economic activity paid or unpaid, dependents, and others with unidentified sources of income.
Illiteracy rate is percent of illiterate persons in the subdistrict. A literate person is defined to be persons aged 7 years and above who can both read and write with understanding in any language.
Sex ratio is the number of females for every 1,000 males.
Dilapidated homes are homes which show signs of decay or those breaking down and required major repairs and are far from being in condition that can be restored or repaired.
Untreated drinking water measures the percentage of households drinking tap water from an untreated source.
